Amelia was born on January 12, 2007 at 7:59am. She weighed in at 6lbs and 14oz and was 18.4 inches long.

I didn't learn I was pregnant until I was nearly 30 weeks along. So, it was as much of a surprise for me, let alone our families. I have a condition called PCOS and was told by physicians that I wouldn't be able to concieve without medical intervention. Obviously, I proved them wrong.

It took a little while to adjust to learning that I was going to be a mother and then actually being a mother. We had our moments, especially when we learned Amelia had a milk/lactose intolerance. But, we've survived the first year and looking forward to many more!

Amelia is (at the time of this writing) 15 months old; she can run, walk, jump, climb, and get into just about anything. She has a large vocabulary and has started adding 2+ words together, such as "Hi Baby" and "Time to get up!" She's going through a picking eating phase and I worry she's not getting enough to eat but her pediatrician says she's perfectly healthy and sharp.

On May 22, 2008 we're going on our first out of state trip! We're going to fly to Michigan to visit Grandma D and Grampa Stephan (Greg's step-mom and Dad)! We're looking forward to the trip, but a little nervous about flying.
